Chuan Luo is currently an associate professor in College of Computer Science, Sichuan University, a member of Machine Intelligence Lab, and the Post-Doctoral Researcher supervised by Prof. Yi Zhang. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Southwest Jiaotong University in Jun. 2015, supervised by Prof. Tianrui Li. From Jan. 2014 to Jan. 2015, he spent one year as a Visiting Graduate Research Student in Department of Computer Science, University of Regina, Canada, supervised by Prof. Yiyu Yao.
Chuan Luo has wide research interests, mainly including machine learning, data mining, granular computing and rough sets. Since 2012, he has co-edited 2 books, and authored/co-authored more than 30 research papers (e.g., IEEE Transaction on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Information Sciences, Knowledge-Based Systems, International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, Journal of Software) in refereed journals and conferences. Five papers were ESI Highly Cited Papers and one paper was ESI Hot Papers. He serves as reviewer of numerous journals, including: IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Information Sciences, Knowledge-Based Systems, International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems, etc.
